DMCA and takedowns
Last updated October 29, 2026
If a countdown on MakeCountdown uses your work without permission, send a notice to the email at the bottom of this page.
Sending a notice
Include your signature, the work you own, the URL of the gift if you have it, your contact details, a statement that you believe the use is not authorized, and a statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or the owner’s agent. We aim to reply within 3 business days and will disable a link when a notice is complete.
Counter-notices
If your countdown was removed and you believe that was a mistake, send a counter-notice to the same address. Include your signature, the material that was removed, a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address. We may restore the link in 10 to 14 business days unless the complainant files a court action.
Repeat infringers
We close accounts that repeatedly upload material we remove for copyright.
