Privacy policy
Last updated October 29, 2026
This policy explains what MakeCountdown collects when you build or open a countdown gift.
What we collect
If you create an account we store your email address and, if you use Google, the name and profile image Google shares. We store the countdown you write: names, dates, timezone, notes, and photos. Payments are handled by Stripe. We store the order status, not your full card number. We also keep short technical logs, including an IP address, to limit abuse.
Who processes it
Cloudflare hosts the site and stores the database and photos. Stripe processes payments. Google receives data only if you choose Google sign-in. We do not sell personal information. This version does not send your photos or notes to an AI provider, and we do not use them to train a model.
How long we keep it
A countdown and its photos stay until you delete them from your dashboard. Deleting removes the gift and the files. If a payment is refunded or charged back, the private link stops opening. Payment records are kept as long as we need them for accounting, refunds, and fraud checks.
Cookies
We use a sign-in cookie, an attribution cookie when you arrive from a campaign, and a draft cookie so you can keep editing a countdown before you create an account. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Your choices
Email us to access or delete your account and the countdowns on it. You must be 18 or older to create an account. Upload only photos you have the right to share. Do not upload illegal content.
